Walla Walla Theme Song

A few days ago we ran a story about the 60th anniversary of "Walla Walla Is My Hometown" which many consider to be our theme song. We posted an recording by the late Joe Denney as well as a PDF of the sheet music. We also invited readers to record there own version of the song. So if you have musical chops take a crack at it and share with us.

A friend called me and told me I should check out the sheep at Last Chance Road, west of Walla Walla. She said there was one black sheep amongst the white. Turns out there were a couple of black sheep but the were pretty far away from the fence where I was. I had to wait until there were some heads aimed sort of towards me instead of all bottoms before I started clicking away.

There's something about grazing sheep that is timeless. And they could be in any country around the world. Universal would be the word.

The new crop--ICE

Early in December I drove over to Kennewick. On the way back I noticed a field in which the irrigation water had been left on. The ice created some pretty cool sculptures.
