Balboa Sangiovese Rocks the House!

You know it's a good night when you get a hug from the winemaker (Tom Glase) after his hip surgery and are then told that you can buy the $110 bottle of wine at an 80% discount. Perhaps the cute guy behind the bar was pulling my leg about the prices, but I told him I would have paid just about any price for that delicious Balboa Candy Mountain 2006 Sangiovese. Continue

'The Fabulous Five'

The adventure began as the five of us piled in the car and headed North. Even though we weren’t exactly sure what was in store for us that evening, it didn’t seem to matter as laughter and ongoing chatter filled the car. You know how it is when a group of gals get together. It was our monthly ‘Girls Night’ that we all looked forward to immensely.

We arrived at the Manila Bay Cafe in Dayton for dinner. We were seated at a round table in the quaint café… Continue

Awesome Walla Walla Wine on a Beer Budget

Well it seems everyone is on a budget these days. If you were thinking about not giving that bottle of wine to the host of your Thanksgiving Day dinner, think again. Intriguing Walla Walla Wine Finds

So… I’ve decided that I want to be one of those people. The people that get to sit down and decide on the name of the wineries next release.

I absolutely love the names that are created to identify some of these wines today. Seriously where do they come from? Yes, some are obvious by using the varietal as a description, but others? Come on. Cowgirl Cab by DaMa, I love it! I had a friend who rid… Continue

WALLA WALLA WINE FOR THE CURE

As most of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here at Walla Walla Wine Cellar we believe in making a difference, and we want to not only raise awareness, but also get involved. So we have decided that a percentage of ALL SALES for the month of October will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

We appreciate the charitable efforts of local wineries as well and must point out that you further guarantee your donation by buying… Continue

Irrigation Ice Sculpture

Today exhibited a lot of unusual conditions. After local fog lifted I headed to Walla Walla for groceries and was amazed by the presence of low lying clouds and ice created by irrigation in freezing temperatures. I just had to shoot a few scenes because I hadn't seen this phenomenon many times in the past.
